It is with great sadness that the family of Alexander Oldrick Hiscock announce his peaceful passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on July 24, 2012 at the age of 95 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his two sons Cecil ( Faye), Fred ( Sheila), one daughter Hilda (Garland), and special niece Phyllis (Oral) Clarke, six sisters Hattie, Maude (Hounsell), Ellen (Wallace), Eulah, Marjorie (Jim), Gerine (David), brother-in law Russell Anderson. Also a special friend Ruby Osborne, Eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren,also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He is predeceased by his wife Phyllis, father Solomon and mother Caroline Hiscock, two brothers Harold (Marian), Clifford. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Thursday July 26, 2012 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place at 2pm Friday July 27, 2012 from the First United Church Park Street with Rev. Myles Vardy officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
