It is with great sadness that the family of the late Woodrow S. J. Compton announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025 at the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit at the age of 71 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his children: Tammy Compton (Ron), Lisa Burchett (Rodney), Cory Steffler, and Allan Power (Jean); his precious grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; siblings: Gertie Compton (Bart), Freeman Compton (Elizabeth), Murdock Compton, Melina Pollard, Joy Jenkins (Jim), Juanita Compton, and Melvin Compton (Cenith); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Woodrow was predeceased by his wife: Joan Compton.

There will be a visitation taking place on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 4 PM on Friday, July 4th, 2025 in the Country Haven Chapel with Pastor Junior Andrews officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Woodrow's memory to your local Food Bank.
