It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late William Sidney (Sid) Murrin announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at the age of 92 years.  Left with cherished memories are his  five children:  Linda (Tim Mahoney), Ruby (Dennis Legge), David (Daisy), Lisa (Lindy Hann), Johnny (Sheri).  His seventeen grandchildren:  Tina Brake (Craig), Belinda Loder (Paul), Terrilynn Hackett (Colin), Tracy Wheeler, Tiffany Butt (Gavin), Darrell Webb (Lisa), Shawn Webb (Tammy Saunders), Nancy Bindi (Rino), Melinda Murrin (Paul Tucker), Amanda Murrin (Sean Byrne), Christa Murrin (Emily Linh), Jamie Murrin, Shaila Hann (Neil Brown), Ricky Hann, Adam Murrin (Heidi) Cheyenne Murrin, Carlie Verge.  His 24 great-grandchildren: Melissa Brake, Sheldon Brake, Kiana Loder, Tara Loder, Jesse Hackett, Jacob Hackett, Adrian Dzurilla, Terry Dzurilla, Lucas Dzurilla, Bentley Butt, Zane Butt, Spencer Butt, Emily Webb, Bruce Webb, Mark Bindi, Ryan Murrin, Arianna Murrin, Matthew Byrne, Tristin Murrin, Madison Verge, Kayleigh Verge, Shane Murrin-Tucker, Noah Murrin Tucker, Robin Crosby Murrin, Mia Anne Brown.  His great great grandchild: Blake Hallett-Murrin.  His siblings (brothers and sisters):  Matilda, Mae, Neil, Ivan, Gerald, (in-laws): Alice, Hazel, Dorcas, Vera, Louise and Fern.  Sid was predeceased by his parents: Sidney & Elizbeth Murrin, wife: Annie Murrin (nee Squires), infant son.  Brothers and sisters: Florence Robertson, Jack Murrin, Clyde Murrin, Shirley Murrin, Mary Darrigan, and son in law: Terry Wheeler.  He also leaves behind a large circle of an extended family of nieces, nephews and many friends at Bayshore Estates.  A private family viewing will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Thursday, January 14, 2021.  On Friday, January 15, 2021, a private family viewing will take place at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Summerside, also from where the funeral will take place with Rev. Kay Osmond officiating.  Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, flowers are accepted or donations in memory of Sid can be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church, Summerside.  A special thank you to the staff at the Bayshore Estate where he resided since 2011, staff at the WMRH on 4A and 3C and Family Doctor Robert Young.
