It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Joseph "Joe" Gregory announce his passing on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center at the age of 87 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife: Susan Ruth; her children: Jennifer Brennan, and Jeff Brennan (Tonya); five grandchildren: Finley, Indah, Kieran, Brennan, and Emery; his sisters: Mary Power, and Bernadette Willette; brothers-in-law: Dr. David F. Large (Jeanne), and Donald P.Large (Millie); special friends: Darryl McGillivray (Anne); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Joe was predeceased by his parents: Mary Anne and William J. Gregory; parents-in-law: Mildred G. and The Honourable Fredric A. Large; brother: Charles Gregory; nephew: Michael Power; brothers-in-law; Vincent Power, and Kevin Willette.

Joe began his 30-year teaching career in Port aux Basques. He then transferred to Corner Brook to begin teaching at Presentation Junior High School where he was a highly respected and much-loved teacher. Joe was very proud of the fact that he taught three generations of students from the same family.

There will be a visitation at Country Haven Funeral Home on friday, August 8th 2025 from the hours of 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm from where the funeral service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on August 8th, 2025 at 3:30 pm with Father Edward Terry officiating. There will be no interment at this time. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Joe's memory to Salvation Army (https://salvationarmy.ca/).
