It is with deep sadness that the family announce the passing of Wayne Brake, of Meadows, Newfoundland, on December 10, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on October 12, 1950, Wayne lived a life marked by love for his family and community.

He leaves behind cherished memories with his three sons: Ed, Greg, and Rick (Charlene). Wayne was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren and a great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren. His legacy also lives on through many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Edith and Gordon Brake, as well as his siblings Eileen Brake, Bernice Wetmore, Nela Elliott, Ida Park, Ina Brake, Noal Brake, and David Brake. He also mourned the loss of his beloved grandson, Sheldon Lear.

His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration. In keeping with Wayne's wishes, cremation will take place, and a burial will be held at a later date.
