The family of the late Walter Jones would like to thank all of those who called, sent condolences, dropped off food, and made donations in Walter's name. We would especially like to thank the Sharpe families, and Kayla George for their support. Another special thank you to the staff of WMRH, especially those in the Restorative and Palliative Care Units; as well as Dwayne Parsons and his staff at Country Haven Funeral Home.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Walter Charles Jones announce his passing at Western Long Term, Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, August 9th, 2022 at the age of 78 years.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his beloved wife: Carol (nee Doiron) of 44 years; daughter: Sarah Sharpe (Ryan); two precious grandchildren: Lorcan & Lilly. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, their families and close friends.

He was predeceased by his parents: Elizabeth and Samuel Jones; 10 brothers, sisters, and many other extended families.

As per Walter's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Sunday, August 14th, 2022 from the hours of 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., from where the funeral service will take place on Monday, August 15th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Russell officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the local S.P.C.A or the Canadian Paraplegic Association.
