November 1, 1958 – December 31, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Veronica Fanny Payne announce her passing on December 31 st , 2022 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 64 th year. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband: Gary Payne; children: Mike (Deidre), Joe (April), Adam, and Nina (Daniel); step-children: Sandy (Andrea), Leemarvin, and Vickilee (Marvin); brothers: Greg (Christine), Marvin (Wandalee), Chris (Carolyn), Clem (Irene), and Jamie (Jessica); sister: Alice (Simon); 16 grandchildren: Parker, Esme, Ava, Micah, Jaylen, Alyssa, Blake, Easton, Nicholas, Taylor, Aiden, Kaiden, Robin, Alex, Christopher, and Emily; brothers-in-law: Roy (Molly), Reg, and Ronnie (Agnes); sisters-in-laws: Pansy (Ellis), Elaine (Charles), Goldie, and Vivian (Mike); and her two precious fur babies: Smokey and Diego; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a large circle of good friends.
Veronica is predeceased by her parents: Ada and George; brothers: Harold, George, and Archie; sister: Georgina; mother and father-in-law: Reginald and Jessie; and her sister-in-law: Annette.
There will be a visitation held on Monday, January 2 nd , 2023 at St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox's Cove, from the hours of 7-9 PM, and on Tuesday, January 3 rd , 2023 from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 4 th , 2023 at 2 PM with Rev. Terry Loder officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, donations can be made in Veronica's memory to a charity of one's choice.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the 3 rd floor and ICU at Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their kindness and compassion.
Gary would also like to send a special thank you to his brother, Roy (Molly) for the amazing care and compassion shown during Veronica's time of need. There are no words to explain how much I appreciate you.
