It is with great sadness that the family of the late Verna Cornelia Miller announce her passing at the Western Long Term Care Palliative Unit in Corner Brook, NL on November 14th, 2024 at the age of 87 years.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughters: Glenda O'Reilly (Michael), and Lori Scott (Craig); her grandchildren: Erin (Matthew), Megan (Stephane), Kate (Michel), Colleen (Joseph), Tyler (Tanya), Kristen (Stephen), and Leanne (Ian); and her great-grandchildren: Riley, Jacob, Liam, Elijah, Noah, Evelyn, Peyton, Addison, and soon to be born, baby boy Evans. She also leaves behind very special friends: Marilyn Bennett and Belle Power, as well as a large circle of extended family, other friends, and past coworkers.

Verna is predeceased by her husband: Lawrence Miller; her mother: Jane Hodder, and her step-father: Robert Hodder.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Drs. O'Driscoll, Coleman, Smallwood, Costello, and Gherbali; as well as all of the medical staff who cared for Verna in the past months, especially the staff of Unit 5B of Western Memorial Regional Hospital.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation taking place on Thursday, November 28th, 2024 at Country Haven Funeral Home  from the hours of 2-4 PM. There will be no formal funeral service at this time, but it will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Verna's memory can be made to the local S.P.C.A or the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
