Vaughan George
Hefford
March 22, 1952 – February 27, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family of late Vaughan Hefford, announced his sudden passing at Corner Brook Long term care 2 North in his 74th year on February 27, 2026.
Born on March 22, 1952, Vaughan lived a life rooted in love, family, and quiet strength. He was a gentle, kind-hearted man whose warm spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He had a way of making people feel safe, welcomed, and valued, and his steady presence brought comfort to those around him.
He leaves behind his devoted and loving wife, Jackie. Together for 57 years and married for 49 years, theirs was a lifetime built on commitment, loyalty, and enduring love. Through life's joys and challenges, they stood side by side, creating a family grounded in strength and devotion.
Vaughan was a proud and devoted father to his sons, Cory (Erin) and Jason (Georgina). His greatest joy in life was being "Pop" to his cherished grandchildren: Faith (Kevin), Brianna (Colby), Isac, Angelina, Sylvia, Rosa, and his two extra little boys who lovingly called him Pop, Drake and Ethan. Each of them held a special place in his heart, and he in theirs.
He also leaves to mourn his loving sisters: Debbie (Randy), Pamela (Kevin), Twila (Wayne), and Kindra (Chris); his brother Darren (Sharron); his aunt Sandra (Darrell), Janice and family; his uncle Terry (Wanda); Lori and family; and his special cousins Roy (Vivian), Steven (Jacquie), Jim (Mary), Chrissy (Wally), Mario, Ricardo, and Rosiland Warford and family. Vaughan will also be deeply missed by his special friend, Fred Mosher, and by a large circle of extended family and friends whose lives he touched throughout the years.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Jean and Levi; his grandparents George and Emily, and Jacob and Lulu; as well as many other cherished family members who welcomed him home.
His legacy lives on in the kindness he showed, the values he passed down, and the deep love that continues to surround his family. Though words can never fully capture the man he was, those who knew him will always remember his gentle spirit and unwavering devotion.
The family would also like to thank Dr. Peter Callahan for all the years he has cared for Vaughan. Also, the nurses and staff of CBLTC 2 North for their care during Vaughan's stay.
There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time
