It is with great sadness that the family of the late Una Mildred Young (nee. Harold) announce her passing on March 24th, 2024 in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Delphina Weisner (Gary), Sadie Webb (Eugene), Lora Gillard, Michael Young (Susan), Alice Payne (Doug), Lisa Vater (John), Millie Baker (Gary), Archie Jr. Young (Lorelei), Glen Young (Barbara), Brenda Young (Billy), Penney Young, Peter Young, and Stephen Young (Becky); her grandchildren: Michael, Gerard (Jerry), Ulanda, Brooke, Crystal, Ashley, Jennifer, Sheldon, Jason, Tracey, Jonathan, Melissa, Jamie, Kayla, Krista, Tyler, Jessica, Alexander, Brittany, Justin, Nathan, Steven, Daniel, Tiernan, and Malachy; 33 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Geraldine Guyon, and Marion Reid; and her sisters-in-law: Anna Meade, and Sarah Simms; as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Una is predeceased by her husband Archie Young; parents: William and Delphina Harold; her son: Daniel Young; and son-in-law: Kerry Gillard.

At her request, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service held at a later date. Interment to take place at a later date.

The family wishes to extend a heart felt thank you to everyone who has sent along their condolences, food, messages, and phone calls during this sad time. As well as the doctors, nurses, and staff of the palliative care unit, Una's amazing home support workers, and Dr. O'Driscoll; for all of their exceptional care during our dear mother's time of need. Lastly, thank you to Dwayne Parsons and his staff at Country Haven Funeral Home for their kindness and support shown to our family during this difficult process.
