With broken hearts, the family of the late Troy Giles announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital (WMRH), Corner Brook on February 13, 2020 at the age of 52 years. Leaving to mourn, Troy's partner, Trudy Miles; Trudy's sons Brandon and Andrew (Jessica) and their children; Troy's mother, Madeline Giles; his three brothers: Craig Giles (Janice), Cory Giles (Gale), Howard Giles (Julie); and nieces and nephews Tara (Zack), Addyson, Gabriel, Joshua, Noah, and Ezra. Troy will be missed by his large circle of extended family and friends and WMRH coworkers. The family extends a heartfelt thanks to everyone who offered support during his illness. Special thanks to Dr. Mackenzie and Dr. Osbourne as well as all the other doctors, nurses and medical staff who helped him through his treatment. Troy was predeceased by his father, Howard L.W. Giles. At Troy's request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and again from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A celebration of his life will be held at Westside Tabernacle, Elizabeth Street, Corner Brook on Sunday, February 23 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Calvin Andrews and Pastor Jeremy Simms officiating. A private family interment will take place at a future date. Troy will be forever remembered for his unbreakable spirit, the twinkle in his eye, his easy laugh, his love of mischief, and for his kind heart. He will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by everyone who knew him. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Atlantic Burn Camp or Team Broken Earth Newfoundland and Labrador.
