Terry Lloyd
Cole (Card Of Thanks)
February 18, 1961 – January 27, 2026
We, the family of the late Terry Lloyd Cole, wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt gratitude for the many acts of kindness shown to us during this very difficult time.
We extend a special thank you to Robbie March and the first responders who worked tirelessly to save Terry and who offered comfort and compassion to our family at the scene.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who expressed their condolences through visits, phone calls, cards, flowers, gifts of food, and messages of support. Thank you as well to those who made donations to the West Coast SPCA in Terry's memory. Your thoughtfulness and generosity were truly appreciated, and the outpouring of support helped make an incredibly difficult time a little easier to bear.
We would also like to thank Major Brian and Valerie Wheeler for their care and guidance in planning and conducting such a beautiful service. Thank you to Jim Randall and Zachary Wheeler for providing the meaningful music during the service.
Finally, we offer our sincere thanks to Dwayne Parsons and the staff of Country Haven Funeral Home for their professionalism, kindness, and compassionate guidance throughout this time.
Your support has meant more to us than words can express.
-The Cole Family
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of the late Terry Lloyd Cole announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at the age of 64 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his devoted wife and best friend of 49 years: Joan Cole; their children: Evan (Brittany), and Victoria; his dear mother: Fern; brother: Dale; father-in-law: Dexter Fudge; sisters-in-law: Debbie Meaney (John), Karen Lipton (Dwayne), and Connie Fudge (Peggy); and his special fur baby: Lacey; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many, many friends.
Terry was predeceased by his father: William Cole; mother-in-law: Joan Fudge; uncle: Bud Pollett; aunt: Ruby Reid (Gus); and cousin: Todd Reid.
Terry loved spending time outdoors with the many friends he had around the neighbourhood. Weekends and evenings were often spent in different sheds, sharing chats, smokes, fires, and music. He loved riding his motorcycles—whether out with friends or on quiet Sunday morning solo rides.
For many years, one of his favourite places was the trailer at Grand Lake, where the neighbours from Georgetown Road would gather for weekends away. The memories made there with friends and family stayed close to his heart.
Terry loved his furry companion, Lacey. They spent the end of every day together in the living room, sharing snacks, and watching the news side by side.
Above all else, Terry was most proud of his family—of his wife, Joan, whom he met when they were just 17, and of his two children, Victoria and Evan. Every conversation with Terry was filled with stories about how proud he was of their accomplishments.
He may have been especially proud of playing matchmaker for Evan and his fiancée, Brittany. His absence will be felt deeply at their wedding this August.
Cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation taking place for family and friends at Country Haven Funeral Home on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 1 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 3 PM in the Country Haven Chapel with Major Brian Wheeler officiating. A private interment for family and close friends will take place at a later date. Funeral will be live streamed on Country Haven Funeral Home's Facebook page. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Terry's memory to your local SPCA.
We little knew that morning
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you
the day God called you home
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you,
you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
