It is with broken hearts that the family of Terri-Lynn Patey announce her untimely passing on October 4th, 2026 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, at the age of only 48 years.
Not a kinder soul was born on this earth. Terri, as she liked to be called, would literally give someone the shirt off her back. She loved music, dancing, and most of all, she loved to read – and shop! Terri enjoyed giving and would thoroughly plan her Christmas gifts that she gave to everyone who was important to her. She loved life, especially her son J.C., or angel baby as she called him. She had a special relationship with her father who was most important to her, and her mother whom she told all of her secrets. She loved and admired her brother, Christopher, and her son, Evan, who she absolutely treasured. She adored her Aunt Donna, and she was her rock. Terri was a very intuitive and she could read a situation oh so well. She was a very smart cookie! Terri loved her fur baby, Snowball, always making sure her spoiled cat had everything.
She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her father: Chris Patey (Joan), mother: Patricia Murphy; brother: Christopher Patey; her sons: Evan, Jayden, and Jace; and her Aunt Donna; as well as a large circle of cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Terri was predeceased by her grandparents: Emma and Arch Patey, Steve and Marie Murphy, and Mary Guy; uncles: Austin Patey, Robert Guy, and Doug Guy; and her aunts: Effie, Noel, Dianne, Lorraine, and Liz; as well as many cousins and other relatives.
In keeping with Terri’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation held for family and friends at Country Haven Funeral Home on Friday, October 9th, 2026 from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 in the Country Haven Chapel with Rev. Catherine Short officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery where Terri will be laid to rest with her dear Grandmother Patey. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Terri’s memory to the Scaredy Cat Rescue.
“May your soul rest in peace, and may you rest in nanny’s arms”
