There will be a funeral service taking place at 11 AM on Friday, October 4th, 2024 in the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating, from where an interment service for both Sydney and Mary will take place in Bonne Bay at a later date.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sydney Wallace Billard announce his passing on January 18 ^th , 2023 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care in his 87 ^th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife: Mary; children: Della (Fran), Rod (Amy), and Darren; grandchildren: Juliah (Adrian), Jamie (Lindsay), Jenna, Jordyn (Cody), and David; great-grandchildren: Leah, Deacon, and Ben; his siblings: Elizabeth (Mac), and Allan (Betty); sisters and brothers-in-law: Collen, John, Marion, and Charles (Madge); as well as other relatives, and a small circle of close friends.

Sydney is predeceased by his parents: Elizabeth and Austin Brake, and Wallace and Julia Billard; brothers: Murray, Cecil and Russell; sister: Amy Rose; and brother-in-law: George.

As per Sydney's request, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Sydney's memory to your local SPCA.
