Obituary

The family of the late Shirley V. Power would like to send a sincere thank you to all our family and friends who were so supportive during this very difficult time. Your kindness and thoughtful words of condolence were so much appreciated.

Thank you to Dr. Brent Thistle, Colleen Carey, Mike Morris, and all the doctors, nurses, and staff at the WMRH who have cared for our mother over the past few years. And,thank you to Dwayne and his staff at Country Haven Funeral Home for their professionalism and kindness in handling my mother's arrangements.

Thank you to everyone who made a donation to a charity in Shirley's name.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 24th, 2025 between 2-4 PM in her lovingly tended garden at 55 Carter Ave. Her wish was to be interred with her mother, whom she lost at a very young age. There will also be a graveside service taking place at 2 PM on Monday, July 28, 2025 in the Townsite-Anglican Cemetery with Rev. Cynthia Haines Turner officiating.
