It is with profound sadness the family of the late Shirley Mary Jane Osmond (nee Kinsella) announce her passing on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the age of 76 at the Western Long Term Care Centre in Corner Brook. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children; Paula Stagg (David) and Kristy Osmond. Grandchildren; Matthew Stagg (Ricki-Lee Kelly), Julia Stagg (Brendon Campbell), and Chaytor Brake. Great-grandchild; Andy Stagg. Her siblings; Phyllis Janes (Gary), and George Kinsella (Juanita). Sisters-in-law; May Kinsella and Edna Kinsella. Daughter-in-law; Loretta Pike. Son-in-law; Mark Brake. Brothers-in-law; Seveson (Marilyn), Wayne (Mary), and Gary (Anne) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband Roderick (Rod) Osmond (2025). Her son; Craig Osmond (2023). Her parents; George and Rosana Kinsella. Her brothers; Samual Kinsella and Harold Kinsella. Her in-laws Gordon and Dinah Osmond and sister-in-law; Lori Osmond.

"I love you more" was her saying to her children. She loved life and being at "the Brook". She was a devout wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, nurse, and friend. She always greeted people with open arms and a huge smile - unless she was reading a book...then you had to wait for her to finish the page! She was a huge Trekky! I can't tell you how many times she watched it...the series and every movie! All of that aside, I think she will be mostly remembered for her love and kindness to everyone. She was a true "carer". If you were coming for a meal...she cooked your favourite. Her home was open to anyone who dropped by. She was fun and loving, steadfast and true. Now it's my turn mom "I love YOU more".

The family would like to take this time to thank all of her caregivers during her stay in hospital and at the Western Long Term Care Centre.

At her request, cremation has taken place. A visitation will take place on Wednesday March 4, 2026 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 7-9PM. The funeral service will take place in the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday March 5, 2026 at 2PM with Rev. Mickton officiating. The service will be streamed via Country Haven Funeral Home Facebook page. Interment of Shirley and Roderick (Rod) Osmond to follow the service at The Mount Patricia Columbarium Wall. Donations in Shirley's memory can be made to the Parkinsons Society (Research Foundation).
