It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Sherri Sheppard announce her sudden passing at her private residence, on May 25th, 2026 at the age of only 58 years. She leaves to mourn with precious and loving memories, her beloved parents: Christopher and Theresa Sheppard; brother: Tony (Angela); nephew: AJ (Jen); special friend: Kerry; along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and collogues.
Sherri was predeceased by her grandparents: Gerald and Margaret Power, and Ronald and Susie Sheppard; uncles: Roger Sheppard, Bill Power, and Eric “Chain” Jesso; and her beloved dog: Tanner.
Sherri was a dedicated educator who devoted more than 30 years to teaching and education. After beginning her career in 1992, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts, and later her Master of Education in 2006. Throughout her career, she taught in several schools and later became a respected Program Specialist with the Western School Board, where she was known for her passion for English Language Arts, theatre arts, and student success. Even after retiring in April 2023, Sherri returned to substitute teaching because of her deep love for education.
Outside of her career, Sherri loved summertime, the outdoors, fashion, and spending time with family and friends. She had a kind heart, a vibrant personality, and a way of making everyone feel welcome. Her beloved dog Tanner held a very special place in her heart. Sherri will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness, compassion, and the many lives she touched throughout her life and career.
There will be a visitation taking place for family and friends at Country Haven Funeral Home on Monday, June 1st, 2026 from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026 in the Country Haven Chapel with Rev. Effie Organ officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy a donation can be made in Sherri’s memory to your local S.P.C.A.
