It is with heavy hearts, profound sadness and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Sharon Penney in the loving embrace of family at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook Newfoundland on March 9th, 2024 at the age of 65 years.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 43 years Tom. Daughter Shara Penney - Payne (Cory). Brother George Penney (Geraldine) as well as a large circle of nieces, Nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Sharon is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Alfreda Penney. Sister Janet Pealo and brother Derek Penney.

Sharon was a beautiful person who loved life and lived it to the fullest. To know her was to love her. She never stopped fighting no matter how tough things were. When anyone else would have broken, Sharon stayed strong. Through her we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. She faced everything with determination and a sense of humor. She has left a huge void in all those who knew her and her memory will live within them forever.

At Sharon's request, cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Daffodil place or to the NL West SPCA. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to follow at a later date.
