It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sadie Mary Patey (nee. Byrne) announce her passing at the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the age of 67 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her sons: Rodney, Brandon, and Tyler; the father of her children: Melvin; her mother: Gertrude; special aunt: Marie; sisters: Madonna (Raymond), and Annie (Charles); brothers: Tony (Rose), Jerry (Liz), Brian (Janice), and Dale (Cheryl); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many friends.

Sadie was predeceased by her father: Edward; brothers: Donald, Ronnie, and Clyde; and her sister: Philomena.

In following Sadie's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to take place in River of Ponds at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Sadie's memory to the Salvation Army (https://salvationarmy.ca/).
