Always ready for the next challenge. Leaving behind a trail of unforgettable memories, a true explorer at heart, he spent his best days hunting, and fishing. Russ was always up to heading into the unknown, head first.

It is with great sadness that we, the family, of the late Russell David Gallant announce his "final adventure" on June 6th, 2025 in his 68th year. Russ leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his greatest love: Gertrude "Trudy" Gallant (nee. Carew); daughter: Jennifer Hynes; granddaughter: Jessica; his great-grandson: Richard; and siblings: Mae Prosper (Hayward), Todd Gallant (Noella), Rosanna Peddle (Roy), Christine Roche, and Eva Cramm; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents: David and Betty Gallant; parents-in-law: Michael and Sarah Carew; and his nephew: Phillip Gallant. Russ is also reunited with his best buddy, Len Lee, seeking out the best hunting and fishing spots in the beautiful fields of heaven.

At Russ' request, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in dear Russ' memory to your local SPCA.
