It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roy Martin Batstone announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the age of 90 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his devoted wife of 30 years: Donna Batstone (nee. Green); sons: Terry (Margie), and Billy (Jamie); grandchildren: Matthew, Jordi, Terry Richard, Lawrence, Taylor, Paisley, and Jessica (Donald); great-grandchildren: Mary, and Maggie Hynes; fur buddy: Clementine; step-daughter: Krista (Graham); Step-son: Troy (Stephanie); special friend: Karice Tucker; and his extended family: Eric, Tracey, Tyler, Brittany, and Kash White; as well as a large circle of other relatives, and many friends.

Roy was predeceased by his first wife: Ruby; sons: Richard, and Robbie; parents: Martin and Mary Batstone; his sisters: Ester, and Stella; brothers: Herb, and Arthur; and his uncle who he considered to be more like a brother: Ralph Wiseman.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation taking place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 1 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 2:30 PM in the Country Haven Chapel with Rev. Catherine Short officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Roy's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada (https://alzheimer.ca/).

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Young and the doctors, nurses, and staff of WMRH for their care and compassion shown to Roy during his stay.
