The family of the late Rosie Meritta Russell would like to thank everyone who called, visited, sent cards, food, flowers, sent messages, made donations, and attended her funeral service. A special thank you to the staff of Still Waters-Western Long Term Care; your care and compassion was exceptional. Also, a thank you to the staff of Country Haven Funeral Home for their compassionate care during this difficult time. Lastly, a special thank you to Rev. Canon Tanya White for mom's loving service. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rosie Meritta Russell announce her passing on Tuesday, October 18 ^th , 2022 at the Western Long Term Care Unit, at the grand age of 98 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her sons: Max, Woodrow (Caroline), and Randy (Sharon); her daughter, Ada (John); beloved grandchildren: Joseph (Joann), Bram (Bridget), Steven, Suzanne (Jimmy), Melissa (Alex), and Michael (Suzie); her great-grandchildren: Matthew, Emily, Brooke, Bailey, Ashley, Aimee, Katherine, and Isaac; as well as her sister: Brenda (Stan); and her two sisters-in-law: Marilyn, and Marie. Rosie is predeceased by her husband, Isaac; sisters: Daphne (William), Geneva (Wally), and Audrey (Jim); as her brothers: Ross (Dorothy), Ellis, and Austin Avery; and daughter-in-law, Mary Russell; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rosie was known for her strength, courage, and love of her family; especially her grandchildren. The family would like to extend a thanks to the staff of the Western Long-Term Care, Still Waters unit for their kindness and compassion shown during Rosie's time there.

There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, October 19 ^th , 2022 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 20 ^th , 2022 at the All Saints Anglican Church at 1:30 PM with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at the Townsite Anglican Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made to All Saints Anglican Church in Rosie's memory.
