It is with great sadness that the family of Rose Eileen Short (nee Hynes) announce her passing on December 31 ^st at the age of 91. She will be forever loved by her husband, Clayton; son: Darryl (Cindy), daughter: Carla (Dan), grandchildren: Justin (Claire), Jeremy (Audrina), Sarah (Danny), Allan (Jessica), Kristina Tulk (Fredrick) and great-grandchildren: Keagan and Erik. Also left to mourn are her sister Mary Companion (Ed), brother Ray Hynes (Marion), sister-in-law Margaret Hynes, and brother-in-law Bob Short. Rose was predeceased by her parents Leo and Sarah Hynes, brothers Peter, Albert, Joseph, and sister Dorothy. At Rose's request cremation will take place. A private viewing will be held from Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Sunday, January 3, 2021.  A private funeral service will take place on Monday, January 4, 2021, from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Ave. with Msgr. Jim Robertson officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted, or a donation in memory of Rose can be made to the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer Church.
