It is with deep sorrow that the family of Rosalind McCarthy (Walsh) announces her passing at the age of 69, after a long illness. Rosalind leaves to mourn her loving husband, Brent McCarthy; her two sons, Eliot (Terri) and Matthew (Marian); her daughter Samantha (Josh); siblings Brian, Jimmy (Sandra), Paul, Sean, Wayne, Tony, Michelle, and Trudy; many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Rosalind is predeceased by her parents, James Walsh and Rosaleen Walsh (Byrne), and two sisters, Joanne Brake and Maxine Tapp.

Rosalind’s family extends heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and personal care workers who provided her with thoughtful and professional care over the years. Their dedication to providing Rosalind with compassionate, dignified, and loving care meant the world to Rosalind and her family. The family sends a special thank you to Chris Penney for tirelessly working to ensure Rosalind had the very best care.

There will be a visitation to take place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Monday June 15th, 2026 from the hours of 7:00 – 9:00 pm with funeral service to take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday June 16, 2026 at 2:00 pm with Father Terry officiating. Interment to take place at Mount Patricia Cemetery following the funeral service.

Friends and family are welcome to gather at Rosalind’s childhood home at 17 Victoria Street following interment.
