It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roland Farwell announce his passing on Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Western Memorial Reginal Hospital in his 88th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his partner: Nina Warren; daughter: Sharon Pennell (Rick); son: Brian Farwell (Julie); his grandchildren: Christopher Pennell (Stephanie), Bradley Pennell (Sabrina), Kaitlin Forster (Keith), Emma Farwell (Matthew), Mary Beth Farwell (Cory), and Andy Horncastle (Britini); great-grandchildren: Aaron and Allison Pennell, Hannah Pennell, Marcus, Merabelle, Garrett, and Kiera Forster, Quinn Leigh and Ezra Gray, and Wyatt and Ben Horncastle.

Roland is predeceased by his wife: Catherine "Kay"; his parents: Matilda and Wilbert Farwell; brothers: Jack (Rita), Theodore, Melvin (Ivy), Clayton (Sadie), Gordon, Percy, and Maxwell; and his sister: Millicent Billard (Romeo).

There will be a visitation held on Sunday, September 24th, 2023 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM ad 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 2 PM on Monday, September 25th, 2023 at St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church, Park Drive, Corner Brook, NL, with Rev. Mickton officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Roland's memory to St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church.
