It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roger MacDonald announce his sudden passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the age of 55 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 26 years Monique; son Roger (Jessica); daughter Samantha; brothers: Cecil (Eleanor), Alex (Patsy), Reg (Daphne), Darrell (Lori), and Laurie (Tammy); sisters: Leona White (Bernard), Stella Parsons (Garwin), Kathleen Squires (Ken), Juanita Williams (Cliff), Joanne Henderson (Scott), Sandra Hunt (Paul), and Betty Mcleod (Dale); uncle Bill MacDonald; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Pheobe, sisters Mae and Betty. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue from St. Nicholas' Anglican Church in Cox's Cove on Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 10 – noon, from where the Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Charlene Laing officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. As Expressions of sympathy,in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family's funeral arrangements.
