The family of the late Roderick (Rod) Joseph Oxford would like to thank all those who called, sent condolences, dropped off food, sent flowers, cards, mass cards, and made donations in Rod's memory. Your kindness and thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated.

Also, a special thank you to the nurses and doctors in the intensive care unit for their special care Rod received during his short time with them.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roderick "Rod" Joseph Oxford announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, on July 16, 2022 at the age of 67 years. Left to morn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Dianne Buckle-Oxford; daughter, Sarah Gaskin (Chris); son, Scott (Beverley); grandchildren: Madelyn Gaskin, and Ben Oxford; sisters: Judy Abbott (Tim), and Catherine Lomond (Nathan); brothers: Bob (Dianne), Jerry (Kim), Jim (Alice), and Shawn (Jennifer); mother-in-law, Isabel Buckle; brothers and sisters-in-law: George (Karen), Catherine Bennett (Tom), David (Mary), Brian (Gaylene), Donna Mitchel (Hal), Patrick, John (Marlene), Michelle Humber (Ben), Mary Lou Buckle (Ruby), Darlene Power, Elizabeth Buckle, Judy Parsons (Manzel), Donald Bailey (Susan), Carolyn Anderson, and Sean Bailey (Kelly); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Rod is predeceased by his parents, Melvin and Mary Oxford; his beloved wife, Christine, who predeceased him in 1992; In-laws: George Buckle, Joyce and Eric Bailey; and brother-in-law, Michael Buckle. There will be a visitation held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from the hours of 7-9 PM , and Sunday, July 24, 2022 from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Cremation to follow. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 10 AM at the All Hallows Parish with Father Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Rod's memory.
