It is with profound sadness the family of the late Roderick Michael Dwyer announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Long-term Care in Corner Brook on March 28th 2026 at the age of 78 years.

Rod was born and raised in Corner Brook NL and worked for the city of Corner Brook for 36 years. He was active in minor hockey for many years, especially AAA Western team.

Rod will be lovingly remembered by his wife; Corilee. His sons; Dean and Douglas (Robin). His precious grandchildren; Aaron, Hayden, Sam and Carson. His sisters; Bernice, Carol-Ann, Florence Kettle (Wayne). Brother; Robert (Bern).  Sisters-in-law; Joy Nichols (John), Jill Pike (Gord). Brother-in-law; Robert Rose (Tracy). Lori and Lindsi George. Sunday night pals; Dana and Hilary. Long time friend, Hayward. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Rod is predeceased by his parents; Donald and Alice Dwyer. Brothers; Donald and Bill Dwyer. His parents-in-law; George and Pearl Rose. Brothers-in-law; Norval and Dennis Rose.

There will be no visitation or formal funeral service at this time. A family celebration of Rod's life will take place at a later date.
