It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rita Barrow Compagnon announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Monday, January 28th, 2013 at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Derek (Donna), AB and Kevin (Donna), Corner Brook; daughters: Frances (Alan), ON, Shirley (Carl), Corner Brook and Lisa Howe (Bryon), Corner Brook; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Shirley Brace (Bill), Grand Falls; brother Reg (Cora), Grand Falls, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Edward Barrow (1988); second husband Frederick Compagnon (2005); parents Doram and Lillian White; brother Glen; sisters: Dot and June. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Rd. on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with Cremation to follow. The Memorial Service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 1st, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Fran Ota. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
