It is with great sadness that the family of the late Reginald John McCarthy announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Friday, December 24th, 2010 at the age of 79 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 55 years, Myrtle, his sons; Stephen (Shirley), Brent (Rosalind), Alphonsus (Sandy), his daughter Nancy (Louis), grandchildren; Michael, Eliot, Christopher, Samantha, Matthew, Christopher, Felicia, and Ashley, his brother Leo as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is predeceased by his son Norman (1981), parents; John & Mary McCarthy, his five sisters, two brothers. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Monday, December 27th, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral on Tuesday, December 28th, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment will take place on Thursday, December 30th, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation .
