After a brief illness, Ramona passed away peacefully at her home on December 13th, 2022, at the age of 92 years.  Ramona is predeceased by her beloved husband: Ray; son: David; and brother: Phonse Penney.  Ramona leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Don (Angela), and Brian (Penny); grandsons: Andy, Benjamin, and Matthew; granddaughter: Megan; special sisters-in-law: Marilyn McGillvray and Mima Penney; her nieces with whom she shared a special bond: Betty Deckert, Doris Philpot, and Sharon Penney; as well as a large circle of other relatives and many friends.

Ramona lived a full and active life. She especially enjoyed entertaining her many friends and relatives at her home in Corner Brook, and her special place in Howley. She was always supportive of her friends and family. Ramona was loved and respected by those who knew her.

There will be a visitation held on Friday, December 16 ^th , 2022 from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Country Haven Funeral Home from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 17 ^th , 2022 in the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM with Rev. John Van Vliet officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Ramona's memory to your local Shriner's Club ( https://www.mazolshriners.com/donate/ ).
