Pius Gould
Sr.
December 2, 1930 – September 2, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pius Gould Sr. announce his peaceful passing surrounded by his loving family, at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the age of 94 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, his daughters: Judy Gould (Louis Dejong), Cherie Gould and her friend Wagner Burden, and Yvonne Waterman (Frank); sons: Eugene Gould (Jackie), Pius Gould Jr., and Reg Gould (Margaret); grandchildren: Sheila Gould, Maurice Gould, Sonya Gould, Jackie O'Connell (special friend, Jamie), Johnathan Gould, Travis Piercey, Rita Marie Gould, Taylor Gould, Louise Waterman, Christa MacDonald, and David Watermen; 16 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Loretta Savard, and Nelson Gould; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends.
He was predeceased by his wife: Marie Amanda Gould (Nov. 18, 2014); daughter: Sheila Eliza Gould; parents: Eugene and Eliza Gould; brothers and sisters: Leah Pearce, Hubert Gould, Howard Gould, Eugene Gould, and Margaret Smith; and mother and father-in-law: Ernest and Annie Strickland.
At Pius' request, cremation has taken place. There will be a visitation taking place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Friday, September 5th 1 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 3 PM in the Country Haven Chapel with Rev. Kris Gosse officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or a memorial donation can be made in Pius' memory to the Western Regional Hospital Foundation (Long-Term Care).
The family wishes to extend a very heart felt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Corner Brook Long Term Care-2 SOUTH, for the wonderful care and support they provided to their dear father during his time of need.
