It is with great sadness that the family of the late Paul "Butch" Madore announce his passing on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 at Western Long Term, Palliative Care Unit, at the age of 75 years.

A jack of all trades, Paul was most content doing a home project or lending a helping hand, always humble about his extensive knowledge and skill.  He loved woodworking and the art of Intarsia, a hobby he shared with his surviving wife, May.  When not in the workshop, Paul could be found in the woods or on the water: fishing, hunting, camping, picking berries, and cutting firewood. He made sure the freezer was full and the cords of wood stacked neatly.  He was always quick with a smile, or an exaggerated expression, and loved sharing a laugh with those close to him.  A devoted husband and father, Paul always put family first and truly enjoyed sharing his adventures and time.

Paul will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend May Ferris, children Michael (Samantha) Madore, Susan (Aaron) Madore, and Eslie Ferris, as well as five grandchildren: Aaron, Mackenzie, Aspen, Abigail, and Jay.  He will be dearly missed by many more extended family and friends.  Paul was predeceased by his loving wife of 34 years, Theresa (Bennett) Madore, parents Earnest and Georgina Madore, and siblings Roy Madore and Daisy (Roy) Summers.

In keeping with Paul's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 10th, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. at Country Haven Funeral Home, from where the funeral service will take place on Monday, April 11th, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cathedral at 2:00 p.m with Rev. Kay Short officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Western Regional Hospital Foundation.
