August 8, 1920 – October 3, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Norman Bramwell Barnes announce his peaceful passing on October 3 rd , 2022 in the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit at the grand age of 102 years old. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his nieces: Wanda Neville (John McGechie) of Sudbury, and Laura Triska (Robert) of Winnipeg; great-nieces: Jennifer Neville (Jerry Pate) of Sudbury, and Yuan Stevens (Lukas) of Montreal; great-nephew, Rodney Barnes (Carla) of Hamilton; great-great-nephews: Ian Wolf Pate of Sudbury, and Bodhi Thomas Barnes of Hamilton; his cousins: Gayle Tapper of St. John's, and Loretta Poole of Brooklyn; and his dear friend and care giver, Lloyd Simms of Deer Lake, and good friend Sheri Noble.
Bram is predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Iris Barnes; his parents, Hayward and Miriam Barnes; brothers: Bernard, and Harold; nephews: Bruce and Wayne; and great-nephew, Taylor Neville.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, October 6 th , 2022 in the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM from where the funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeffrey White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted, or a donation can be made in Bram's memory to a charity of one's choice.
