Nola Elsie Park

It is with profound sadness that the family of Nola Elsie Park announce her passing on September 29, 2026 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 81.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her devoted husband of 63 years: Freeman; her two greatest joys, her sons: Kirby (Glenys) and Brad (Angie); and her cherished grandchildren: Kyle (Kathleen), Shelby (Andrew), Brayden, Katelyn, and Kristen, who each held a very special place in her heart.

Also left with treasured memories are her beloved great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Jennessa, Katie, Edward, Olivia, and Emma, who were the light of her life; her beloved siblings: Rodney (Wanda), Yvonne, and Sharon (Scott); sisters-in-law: Trudy and Kay Baldwin, Debbie Park and Daisy Park; brother-in-law: Dougal Park (Doreen); her special niece: Connie Bursey; and close friends: Joan and Tony Oxford; along with a large circle of extended family and friends.

Nola was predeceased by her parents: Nina and Jim Baldwin; her parents-in-law: Fred and Priscilla Park; her brothers: Auddie, and Freddy Baldwin; and brothers-in-law: Irvine Park, Cecil Park, Jim Park, Melvin Park, Roland Park, and Hollis Park; sisters-in-law: Cynthia Park and, Millie Doucette; and her beloved nephews: Mark, and Jody Baldwin.

Our Mom was an exceptional woman whose love for her family knew no bounds. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures - a good game of cards, a tasty snack, and spending time with the people she loved most. In her younger years, she was always on the go, whether attending social events in her beloved hometown of Cox’s Cove, enjoying family vacations in Florida, or spending precious time in Ontario with her pride and joy, Brad, and his family.

Mom had a remarkable gift for finding the positive in every situation. Her familiar words were often, “I’ll be okay,” or, “Everything will be alright.” She disliked conflict and always wanted those around her to be happy. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering optimism brought comfort and happiness to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and the love she shared so freely throughout her life. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.

Visitation will take place at the St. Nicholas Anglican Church in Cox's Cove on Wednesday September 30th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st at 10:00am with the Rev. Terry Loder officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the St. Nicholas Anglican Church fund.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of 4A at Western Memorial Regional Hospital for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness they showed our Mother and our family during her time with them. Your dedication and gentle care will never be forgotten.
