It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nelson James Plowman announce his passing on Monday, June 5th, 2023 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit in his 77th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 56 years: Genevieve Plowman; two sons: Garcien Plowman (Wavey), and Troy Plowman (Tina); grandchildren: Samantha (Jerry Rumbolt), Logan House, Melissa Bursey, Miranda Bursey, Jack Rumbolt, and Gideon; sisters: Selina Critchley, Madeline Breen, Rita Kennedy, and Olive Genneaux (Vincent); brothers: Edward (Hilda), Martin (Josephine), and Stanley (Cecillia); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Nelson is predeceased by his parents: Hebert and Mary Plowman.

At his request cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or service at this time. Interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Nelson's memory to the Rufus Guinchard Health Center in Port Saunders, NL.
