Minnie Evelyn Warren, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on June 10, 2026.
Minnie is survived by her children, Gladys (Patrick), Keith (Donna), and Neil (Krisandra); her grandchildren, Janna (Romesh), Adam (Caitlin), Christina (Marc), Chad (Devon), Kaitlyn (Martin), and Julia (Nick); and her great-grandchildren, Avi, Samuel, Nico, Vivian, and Colter. She will also be deeply missed by her siblings, Myrtle, Sarah, Austin, and Diane, her sister-in-law Carolyn, her brothers-in-law Ross and Joe, and her many nieces and nephews.
Minnie was predeceased by her devoted and loving husband of 65 years, Albert Warren, her parents, Mary and George Ivany, her mother- and father-in-law, Gladys and Archibald Warren, her brother, Irving Ivany, her sister, Maxine Lee, her brother-in-law, Donald Bursey, her sister-in-law, Linda Ivany, and her nieces, Holly Evans and Brenda Richard.
Minnie was a woman who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She had strong values and a very generous heart. Family was truly the centre of her world, and nothing brought her more joy than caring for and nurturing her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be forever remembered for her gentle spirit, her quiet strength, and the love she shared so freely throughout her life.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Mountain View Retirement Home and to Dr. Peter Callahan for the exceptional care they provided to Minnie. A heartfelt thank you is also extended to the staff of both the Western Long Term Care Home and the Intensive Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
A visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Reverand Edward King officiating. An interment will follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would gratefully accept donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
