It is with great sadness that the family of the late Melvin Elwood Woodman Sr. announce his peaceful passing on Friday, April 14 ^th , 2023 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit in his 84 ^th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 63 years: Shirley; his children: Melvin Jr. (Beverly), Shawn (Rita), and Lloyd (Barb); grandchildren: Nichole, Amanda (James), Shauna (Cody), Mark (Shantel), Robyn (Justin), and Tyler (Caitlin); great-grandchildren: Chloe, and Ethan; his siblings: Clarence Woodman (Rita), Neta Williamson, and Brenda Gordon; his sisters-in-law: Jean woodman, Patsy Woodman, Maureen Woodman, and Joanne Woodman; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Melvin is predeceased by his parents: John and Lydia; brothers: Reg, Walter, Arthur, Harry, and Derek; and brother-in-law: Richard Williamson.

At Melvin's request, cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 17 ^th , 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, from where the funeral service will take place at 3:30 PM with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Melvin's memory to a charity of one's choice.
