Melvin "Bud" Wilson Dalley

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Melvin “Bud” Wilson Dalley announce his passing at the Corner Brook Community Health Center on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 at the age of 82 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 63 years: Faye Dalley (nee. Colbourne); children: Norman (Leslie), and Donna (Brody); grandchildren: Deidre, Eric, and Adam; sisters: Marion (Wally), Annie, Bessie (Gord), Sylvia, Helen (Ian), Gloria (John), Beatrice (Gerald), Sandra (Elmo), and Sharon (Randy); brothers: Ray (Beverly), and Allen (Wanda); and brother-in-law: Norma Colbourne (Melanie); as well as a large circle of other family and friends.

Bud was predeceased by his parents: Garfield Dalley and Jessie Dalley (nee. Pilgrim); parents-in-law: Rachel (Colbourne) and step-father: Nelson Oram; brothers: Ernest, Bertram, and Gerald; sister: Barbara; brothers-in-law: Mederick, George, and Bill; and sister-in-law: Mary.

In following Bud’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A celebration of life and an interment will be announced at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Bud’s memory to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation (https://www.heartandstroke.ca/).

The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Corner Brook Community Health Center, especially Tiffany; for the care and support provided to Bud during his time of need.
