It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maxwell Eugene Russell announce his passing on January 14th 2024 at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit in his 81st year of age. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his children: Shirley Russell, Gordon Russell (Diane), and Max Russell (Lisa); grandchildren: Darin, Kyle, Evan, Azaria, and Alexa; great-grandchildren: Jamie, and Malcolm; sister: Elaine Bannister (Ed); brothers: Junior Russell (Helen), and Gene Russell (Tracy); brothers and sisters-in-law: Frank Walbourne (Debbie), Alma Dawe (Stan), Dave Walbourne (Laura), and Nora Russell; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Max is predeceased by his wife: Madge Russell (nee. Walbourne) (2014); and his siblings: Edna, Shirley, and Len.

There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 at 2 PM in the Country Haven Chapel with Pastor Jeremy Simms officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Max's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
