It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Ada Porter (nee. Foote) announces her passing at the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, at the age of 88 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband of 69 years: Floyd Porter; their children: John Porter (Suzanne), Wayne Porter (Mary), and Avril Piercey (Dean); grandchildren: Andrew Porter (Brittany), Matthew Porter (Andrea), Shawn Porter (Bailey), Candace Porter, and Jeffrey Piercey; six great-grandchildren; her brother: Ivan Foote (Elaine); brother-in-law: Clyde Porter; and sister-in-law: Judy Porter-Ryan; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

She was predeceased by her parents: Wesley and Margaret Foote; parents-in-law: Herbert and Lily Porter; brothers: Roland Foote, Nelson Foote, Wilson Foote, Freeman Foote, and Alfred Foote; brothers and sister-in-law: Robert "Bob" Porter, John "Jack" Porter, Lloyd Porter, Dennis Ryan, and Betty Gosse.

In following her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. An interment will take place in the spring at St. Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Curling. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
