It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Lillian Bennett announce her passing at the Corner Brook Palliative Care Unit, on Thursday, December 12th, 2024 at the age of 88 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Genevieve Hobbs (Jim), Ted (Helen), Wayne (Donna), Sean (Robbie-Lynn), and Darryl (Trudy); grandchildren: Mark, Aaron (Jennifer), Adriana Sacrey (Terry), Alicia Hodder (Bernard), Ashley Norman (Ryan), Ryan (Melissa Evoy), Brady, and Tamara Anstey (Brandon); great-grandchildren: Ryan Bennett, Benjamin Hodder, Sophie Norman, Cole Dobbin, and Hannah Bennett; brother-in-law: Tony Bennett (Gail); sisters-in-law: Joan McLeod, and Paula Bennett; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Mary is predeceased by her husband: Theodore Bennett (2017); her parents: Maurice and Maud Gillingham; parents-in-law: Douglas and Genevieve Bennett; brothers: Michael, and Ralph; and her sisters: Louise, and Eunice.

Following Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. The funeral service will take place at 10 AM on Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at the Most Holy Redeemer Parish with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery, where Mary and Theodore will be laid to rest. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Mary's memory to the Catholic Women's League.

The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the staff of the Lohnes Complex, as well as the doctors' nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit, and Dr. O'Driscoll; for their endless care, and compassion shown to our dear mother.
