It is with great sadness that the family of the late Theresa Mary "Tootsie" Lee of Corner Brook, passed away on February 6th, 2024 at Western Memorial Hospital at the age of 85. Theresa was born in Corner Brook to Thomas Lee and Theresa Lee (nee. Atkins). Theresa's mother died when Theresa was very young and she was raised by her step mother, Gertrude Lee (nee. Gould). Theresa spent approximately 23 years as a Presentation Sister returning home when her parents were older to help take care of them. She worked at the Interfaith Home for Seniors in Corner Brook for a period of time. Theresa had a heart of gold and would do anything that she could possibly do for anyone. She always loved the children the most. She would be so proud when they visited for her cookies which she made especially for her nephews and nieces. Theresa was an excellent baker.  A special thanks to her sisters who spent many hours at Mountain View Retirement Home where Theresa lived for the last three years.

Theresa is survived by her special nephew: Justin Lee and his son Eden; along with her many other nieces and nephews who she loved so much, and they loved her. She is also survived by her special friend: Sister Kay Rex; her brothers Gerard (Loretta), John (Elizabeth), Rome, Patrick, and Peter (Mary). Her sisters: Imelda Lee (Cecil), Veronica Price, Suzanne Culhane (Bill), Bernadette Hughes (Robert), Madonna Simmons (Carl), and Marie Wyatt (Karl); sister-in-law: Linda Lee, and her dear Aunt Yvonne Ploughman.

Theresa is predeceased by her father: Thomas Lee; and mother: Theresa Lee (nee. Atkins); and step mother Gertrude Lee (nee. Gould); her sisters: Elaine Lee, Deborah Lee, Elizabeth Arnold (Joseph), Geraldine Field (David); brothers Kevin (Angie), Dermot (Collette), Ronald, Thomas and Leonard (Betty); brother-in-law: Fred Price; sister-in-law: Florence Lee; her nephew: Jeffrey Simmons; and great-nephew: Zachery Park.

At Theresa's request cremation has taken place. There will be a funeral service from The Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer on Tuesday February 27th 2024 at 10AM and interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Theresa's memory to the Children's Wish Foundation.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Western Memorial Hospital who were in charge of Theresa's care and the caregivers at Mountain View Retirement Home.
