It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Patricia Joyce announce her passing at the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at the age of 61 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her partner: Walter Herritt; her two sons: Michael (Kimberly), and Matthew (Kate); her cherished grandson: Michael Junior; mother: Irene Joyce; aunts: Patricia MacDonald, Eileen Sheppard, Caroline Russell (Woodrow), and Lorraine Hickey; as well as her special friend: Elizabeth Campbell; and a large circle of family and friends.

Mary was predeceased by her father: Kenneth Joyce; and her sisters: Catherine, and Paula.

Mary lived in Corner Brook, where she devoted her whole life to her family. She was kind, yet strong and stubborn, who loved deeply and wholeheartedly. Mary's two sons and precious grandson were the centre of her whole world. She was so proud of the men they became, and cherished every moment spent with her beloved grandson.

In following Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be visitation taking place in the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 11:30 AM, from where a prayer service will take place at 1 PM with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses during this very difficult time (michaelgeraldjoyce@gmail.com).
