Mom was born in Clattice Harbour NL in 1929 and relocated to Corner Brook with her family at the age of 16 where she worked at the Corner Brook hospital and then the Model Shop on Broadway until she began her family.
Mom was very active throughout her life enjoying many outdoor activities like hiking in the summer to cross country skiing in the winter. Our mother was an avid quilter, until her stitching was broken by her illness.
Our family sends a heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the staff at 3 North Corner Brook Long Term Care. Their guidance and care made mom's struggle with Dementia manageable.
A visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday June 22 nd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will take place at All Hallows Roman Catholic Church at 10AM Thursday June 23 rd with Father Terry officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. The family is requesting that masks be worn for both the visitation and funeral services. The Funeral will be livestreamed on Facebook.
