There will be a funeral service taking place at 11 AM on Friday, October 4th, 2024 in the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating, from where an interment service for both Mary and Sydney will take place in Bonne Bay at a later date.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Ellen Billard announce her passing on March 1 ^st , 2023 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 87 ^th year. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Della (Fran), Rod (Amy), and Darren; grandchildren: Juliah (Adrian), Jamie (Lindsay), Jenna, Jordyn (Cody), and David; great-grandchildren: Leah, Deacon, and Ben; her siblings: Marion, and Charles (Madge); as well as other relatives, and many friends.

Mary is predeceased by her husband: Sydney Billard; parents: Charles and Violet Pike; and mothers and fathers-in-law: Elizabeth and Austin Brake, and Wallace and Julia Billard.

As per Mary's request, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Mary's memory to Oakland United Church.
