It is with great sadness that the family of the late Martha S. Skeard (nee. Peddle) announce her passing on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 at her Private Residence, in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 79 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Stan (Kathy), Derek (Deneen), David, and Wilma (Bernie); grandchildren: Lea, Andrew, Crystal, Jacob, and Joshua; great-grandsons: Joseph, Gavin, Austin,  Lincoln and Malcolm;  and nephew: Bruce Peddle (Jean); as well as a large circle of other relatives, and many friends.

Martha is predeceased by her parents: Jack and Elizabeth Peddle; husband: Maxwell Skeard; siblings: Ben (Shirley), Richard (Sophie), Hubert (Kay), Pierce (Theresa), Colin (Lizzie), Carrie (Bob), Charlotte (Wallace), and Whitfield (Barb); and nephew: Joe Peddle.

At her request, cremation has taken place. There will be a funeral service held on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 at Country Haven Funeral Home at 1 PM with Rev. Mickton officiating. Interment to take place on Monday, June 3rd, 2024 at 1 PM, at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, instead a donation can be made in Martha's memory to a charity of one's choice.
