GROSS, Marie Agnes (nee Byrne) passed away at her home in Toronto, ON on May 25, 2021. She was born on June 6, 1939 in Corner Brook, NL to the late George and Bride (Cole) Byrne. Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her husband Rupert Gross and her brother Cyril Byrne.

Marie is survived by Nephews: John, Joseph, Paddy and Toby and Niece: Marie, as well as 2 Grandnieces and 2 Grandnephews. She is also survived by her father's sister Theresa Wall, many cousins, and Rupert's family in Austria.

Marie graduated from St. Clare's Mercy Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1959, she worked as a Registered Nurse in Corner Brook for a few years then moved to Toronto and continued to practice Nursing until her retirement. Marie met her husband Rupert while working in Toronto, they were married in Corner Brook on September 4, 1971.

Mass of Christian Burial to be held for Marie on August 6 ^th , 2021 at 10:00 am from the Cathedral of The Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. The Inurnment will take place at Mt. Patricia Cemetery Following Mass. As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request. Donations can be made to one's choice.
