It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marcheta Ann Hussey announce her passing on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit at the age of 66 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her beloved partner: Rick Duffy; daughter: Caroline (Jason); son: Arthur (Megan); Melanie, who was like a daughter of his own; granddaughters: Chelsea (Travis), Tanisha, Destiney (Nick), Kylie, Cassidy, and Brooke; siblings: Gordon, Loretta, Michelle, and Robbie-Lynn; her precious fur babies: Jesse and Woody, and grand-fur babies: Kippy and Luna; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Marcheta was predeceased by her father: Arthur Wells; mother: Mary "Lena" Wells; special aunt: Leona Hunt; and her beloved dog: Freddy.

In our family she was the pillar, the one who kept us together, the person you could always call when you needed anything. Her love for us knew no limits, and she will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

The family wishes to extend a very heart felt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Palliative Care for their endless support and compassion shown to our loved one.

In following Marcheta's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal funeral service at this time. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Marcheta's memory to a charity of one's choice.
