It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of the late Madonna Martha Theresa Gill (nee. Tarbett) on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the Western Long-Term Palliative Care Unit, at the age of 73 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Christopher (Katherine), and Amanda (John); grandchildren: Madison and Arianna, Julia Strong (Brandon), and Bailey Roul (Megan); her brothers and sisters: Frank Tarbett, Robert Tarbett (Hazel), Barbara Lilly (Reg), David Tarbett, Sandra Scott (Brain), Sharon Hefford (Darren), Christina Alexander, Michael Tarbett (Judy), Susan Alexander, Diane Crago (Lance), Debbie Murphy (Dwayne), and Jason Tarbett (Krista); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Madonna is predeceased by her dear husband, Winston Franklin Gill (September 2024); her parents: Harry and Maisie Tarbett; and her brother: Harry Jr. Peewee Tarbett.

There will be a visitation taking place on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours 7-9 PM, from where the funeral service will take place at 11 AM on Friday, May 16, 2025 in the Country Haven Chapel with Major Brian Wheeler officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Madonna's memory to the Salvation Army Corner Brook Community Church.
